In this story, I want to tell you about new changes that were made in the Pomodoro by Increaser, what is the current state of the app, and what I am going to do the next week.
This Week
Weekly Statistics on Monday
In the previous week was added weekly statistics to the app that were updated only when the week ended in all time zones. It means that most of us would see the average of the previous week only on Tuesday. This week I focused to make statistics update on request, so now we can see updated statistics on Monday.
Emailing Disappeared Users
A few weeks ago, I talked about an idea of sending email to users that stopped using the app to ask them for feedback. To make this happen, the weekly worker will look if there are users that were one-time active(had more than 8 Pomodoro hours during a week), and the last two weeks made zero sets. These people will be emailed only once with the message shown below.
Update Windows Store App
Because Pomodoro by Increaser is PWA, it is available on Microsoft Store. To update version in the store, I need to convert it to the specific format. But last few months I wasn’t able to do this because an open-source tool that does that was broken. This week I finally updated the app in the store. There is some problem with Windows version, therefore I added text at the top of the window advising the user to check the more stable web version.
Current State
No new members joined this week, and the number of users and sessions is a little bit lower than in the previous week. Not good.
89 users registered this week. Would be cool if one hundred people will register each week.
Next Week
The main focus for the next week is to add authorization with LinkedIn and Twitter. If time will be left, I am going to add a few changes in the mobile version of the app.
